I have been so pleased with how much y'all love our upcoming Sumer Loungewear Set! And I'm back with better pics and more info about their development!!
Before I forget, preorders for the Sunshine loungewear set will be open from March 20th thru April 6th and will be fulfilled roughly 2 months later (so, mid June).
The U.S. and Canada sites will have separate preorders so that our Canadian customers can have their preorders ship from within Canada so they don't have to deal with any nasty surprise fees.
Our upcoming Sunshine Summer Loungewear Shirt and Shorts are made with super breezy and comfortable 100% cotton.
They were developed using our unique grading system, which was made based on measurements from our customers. Traditional plus size sizing is often based on straight sizes and therefor fails to account for the way fat actually behaves on a human body. They don't account for increases in the sizes of stomachs, thighs, upper arms, and necks. Often, a regular crop top that hits the navel on a straight size person won't go lower than the underbust on a plus size person because the brand has neglected proper plus size fit tests and has failed to understand that curves don't just expand horizontally, but vertically as well.
Similarly, most shorts just do not account for an apron belly or fupa. Shorts that would have a breezy loose fit on a straight size person are cling wrapped uncomfortably tightly in all the worst places on plus sizes.
As a fat person it has been my dream for ages and ages to create a set of truly comfortable and cute loungewear. We succeeded already with our cozy winter set, and I'm so pleased to be able to now introduce our new summer set! I wore our prototypes for this loungewear set (especially the shorts) all last summer and I'm so excited to finally be able to share them with y'all!
And new to this set, we've included a little pocket with a screen printed sun peeking out! I hope y'all like this cute little detail. If you do I'd love to include more of them in our future lougewear!
The summer shorts have the same great pockets that our cozy sweatpants had--able to comfortably fit your phone, wallet, keys, a handheld gaming console or even a 24 ounce water bottle.
And just like the cozy sweatpants, these shorts were designed with a waistband that is both stretchy enough to provide comfort throughout daily bloating and weight fluctuations, but sturdy enough that even with the drawstring untied, it should stay up with a phone in the pocket. For heavier items I'd recommend tying the drawstring, but these shorts were meant for ultimate comfort and to me there's nothing more annoying than standing up after a pee, putting my phone in my pocket, and having my sweatpants immediately fall to my ankles because I forgot to tie the drawstring.
During the same period that we have preorders open for the Sunshine set, we'll also be running preorders for our brand new fawn suspender skirt. This thing is so cute and I've been wearing my prototype of it for MONTHS. But, I'll talk more about this skirt later!
Also on March 20th we'll be releasing our new Hands button up shirt. But this one will be ready to ship and not a preorder! This has the same great fit and feel as our recent Dungeon Delver and Gummy Bear shirts.
